Digicel presents funds to three local charities
Digicel, a major partner in the Sentebale Polo Event recently presented the funds raised from the event held at Apes Hill Club. The telecommunications company teamed up with Nokia and Quintessentially to host the benefit fundraiser which was followed by polo matches.
The local charities benefitting from the proceeds are Sandy Lane Charitable Trust, Barbados Community Foundation, and the Canadian Women’s Club of Barbados, and were chosen by Sentebale; a charity founded by Prince Harry of Wales and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.
Digicel's General Manager, Mr Barry O'Brien presented the cheques to Julian Sacher and Pip Challis, Trustees of the Sandy Lane Charitable Trust, and Jacqui Kovas, President of the Canadian Women’s Club of Barbados.
