DIGICEL LAUNCHES THREE PROMOTIONS IN CELEBRATION THE 2011 BARBADOS REGGAE FESTIVAL
Wednesday, April 20, 2011 – Bridgetown, Barbados: Digicel customers across the island will be catching the reggae fever and winning big as the mobile telecommunications launches three promotions in celebration of the 2011 Digicel Barbados Reggae Festival, which runs from April 25, to May 1, this year.
As part of the its overall involvement with the festival, which boasts top international act Wyclef Jean along with Beenie Man, Sizzla, Queen Ifrica and Gyptian among many others, “the Bigger, Better Network” recently launched its ‘April Text to Win’, ‘Reggae Festival Q&A Online Giveaway’ and ‘Talk, Text, Bling and Win’ promotions for its customers to win various reggae festival related prizes during the month of April.
Alex Tasker, Digicel’s commercial manager, explained that as title sponsors of the biggest music festival in Barbados, the company launched the promotions to give back to its customers for their continued loyalty and to ensure that they had an opportunity to enjoy all that the festival has to offer.
“Through the ‘Talk, Text, Bling and Win’ promotion, which runs from April 6 to 23, one lucky customer will win a Digicel Reggae Festival Pack consisting a Nokia X2 handset, selected posters and CDs and two general passes to all events of the festival for simply talking for three minutes, sending three of more text messages or paying their bill in full and on time during the period.
“Our text to win promotion, customers can win various prizes including reggae festival artist CDs, $200 in airtime and passes to Reggae on the Hill for texting the word REGGAE to 7171 and playing the ‘Unscramble Word’ games while through the online promotion, which runs from April 12 to 29, our Facebook and Twitter users will have the opportunity to win tickets to the five events of the festival for answering the Reggae Question of the Day,” Tasker explained.
