DIGICEL PROUD SPONSOR OF OUTRAGEOUS IN RED

Thursday, July 7, 2011 – (Bridgetown, Barbados): Mobile telecommunications company Digicel continues to invest in the success of this year’s Crop Over festival with sponsorship of the highly anticipated Outrageous in Red event scheduled to take place this Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Kensington Oval.

This major show will highlight the best Crop Over has to offer with performances by Krosfyah, Strategy the Energy Band, Peter Ram, Ricky Manaj, RPB, TC and Stiffy along with the a number of artistes from Trinidad and Tobago including Destra Garcia and her band as well as Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyon with their Asylum band, among other acts.

Alex Tasker, Digicel’s commercial director, noted that the company was proud to be associated with the event and as part of its overall involvement will be offering handset specials for its customers. He stated: “As part of our sponsorship, we will be offering our Samsung 1086 at a special price of $79, Samsung 3300 for $299 and the BlackBerry 8520 for $459. This is just one of the many ways we are giving back to our customers as they enjoy all the Crop Over festival has to offer.”
