Tuesday, July 26, 2011 – (Bridgetown, Barbados): The popular ‘10 to 10’ party and Celebration Time’s Big Tuesday Celebration Show are two more of the major events that will bear the brand of Digicel as the mobile telecommunications company continues to invest in the success of Crop Over 2011 with sponsorship of a number of events and shows that make up the sweetest summer festival.
This year ‘10 to 10’ will feature four big bands including Soca Kartel, Krosfyah, and Strategy along with Kes and his band from Trinidad who will join an extensive cast featuring 25 local acts and ten DJs for 12 hours of non-stop entertainment on Saturday, July 30, in the Carlisle Car Park including Mikey – Party Monarch, Lil Rick – 2nd place winner in the Party Monarch competition and both Digicel Ambassadors, Blood, Alison Hinds and more. While, the Big Tuesday Celebration Show will feature Lil’ Rick and the Hypa Family, RPB – the Sweet Soca Winner and also a Digicel Ambassador, Allison Hinds along with the best acts for Crop Over on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium.
Alex Tasker, Digicel’s commercial director, stated that the company was pleased to be involved with the two events, noting that it formed part of Digicel’s overall Crop Over contribution as it continues to help develop the festival and Barbados’ diverse cultural landscape.
He stated: “We view our sponsorship of these two events as worthy as they will definitely provide the best in entertainment for the thousands who attend the shows. Our association with both ‘10 to 10’ and Celebration Time calypso tent has proven to be mutually rewarding and we look forward to these exciting events.
